It's just the start so we've built the practical bits. We have big plans for the app including email transactions, dashboards, image upload and push notifications such as closed sales and budget targets achieved. The App is currently limited to a single file with no more than 5,000 contact records and 1,000 inventory items. In a future update we will support multiple files and higher volumes.

Scoopon.com.au, one of the early pioneers of group buying in Australia, started by the team that brought you Catchoftheday.com.au, has today launched its free iphone application to further support its dynamic website.
Scoopon, the emerging star winner at the recent Online Retailer Industry Association awards is believed to be the first group buying site in Australia (There are about 13 other group buying sites at the moment) to launch an iphone application.
Having acquired an iPhone recently myself, I am still in awe of the capabilities of this
device, and I took the opportunity to download the recently launched Pizza Hut application for iPhone to see what all the fuss is regarding this application.
In October 2009 Pizza Hut Australia announced the planned launch of their iPhone application modelled on Pizza Hut USA's successful iPhone application implementation. After much waiting it was recently launched in Australia. Last week I noticed that it was the 7th most downloaded Australian application from iTunes.
The Pizza Hut application really sums up what abilities and capabilities exist in an organisation with good systems, polices and procedures that are easily replicated across the country via a chain of franchise type locations and can be naturally extended to a mobile application
It's exciting to see Australian companies harnessing mobile technology, as well as using
Australian based skills to develop this technology. Apple's iPhone with its plethora of applications available has certainly catapulted mobile web applications and their development into the limelight.
According to Tony Nguyen of Sydney based Mobile Web Solutions, Apple just sold over 1 million of its new iPhone 3GS's in its first 3 days on release in June. With 17 million iPhones sold worldwide by March, Apple has 8.2% marketshare of the smartphone sector, with analysts forecasting growth of 12-15% by 2010.
Australia is a high-performing country market for iPhone, with 9% of our smartphone market vs. iPhone’s 8.2% share worldwide.
